DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME anywhere on submitted pieces, it can only be on the submission form. We cannot accept previously published pieces and are only accepting work from current CSUMB Students. Please use .doc, .docx, .pdf, or .rtf for written work. Make sure all files are labeled Genre_TitleOfWork (ex: Poetry_OttersAtWork)
Genre Guidelines: Poetry -
Submit up to 5 poems maximum.
If you have multiple submissions, you must not submit more than 10 pages collectively.
Multiple Poems cannot be on the same page; please separate poems by page.
Fiction -
300-5000 words
If you have multiple submissions, you must not submit more than 5000 words collectively.
Creative Non-Fiction -
300-3500 words
We are accepting:
Excerpts, Essays, Lit Reviews/Analysis, Personal Essays
Maximum of 3 pieces for submission
For citations please include footnotes in Chicago Style format.
Visual Art -
We are accepting:
Photography/Paintings and Drawings/Graphic Art/Audio/Video
50 MB Video/Audio (will appear exclusively in our digital publication)
Audio: MP3 only (will appear exclusively in our digital publication)
You can provide a scan of any medium
For images please use .jpeg and .png formats only
Maximum of 5 submissions or 1 Photo Series.
